賴純純畢業於日本多摩美術大學藝術學院並獲碩士學位，是台灣當代藝術發展中重要的女性藝術家之一。

 

她的創作始於繪畫，逐步跨越雕塑、空間裝置、觀念行動與公共藝術。自1980年代起，她持續探索色彩、材料、身體與空間的關係，並以「存在與變化」作為貫穿創作的根本命題。

 

自2000年起，「奇異仙境」成為重要創作主軸；2007年進入都蘭生活後，島嶼、海洋、光與南島文化進一步滋養其創作。作品從獨立物件走向與環境、觀者及時間共同形成的場域。

 

近年，她將五十年的實踐凝聚為「自由生成美學」，主張作品不是封閉的完成物，而是在關係中持續發生的生成場。曾獲吳三連獎、臺北市立美術館現代雕塑首獎及文化部公共藝術獎等肯定，並為台灣女性藝術協會創會理事長。2024年成立財團法人臺東縣賴純純藝術文化基金會，持續推動藝術創作、在地連結、女性藝術與國際交流。

Jun T. Lai is a Taiwanese contemporary artist who earned her MFA from Tama Art University in Japan.

 

Beginning with painting, her practice has expanded across sculpture, spatial installation, conceptual action, and public art. Since the 1980s, she has explored the relationships among color, material, the body, and space, with Being and Transformation serving as a foundational inquiry throughout her work.

 

Since 2000, Wonderland has become a central creative realm. After establishing a sustained life and practice in Dulan in 2007, the island, ocean, light, and Austronesian cultural environment of eastern Taiwan increasingly shaped her work. Her practice has evolved from autonomous objects toward fields formed through the interplay of environment, viewer, and time.

 

In recent years, she has articulated this five-decade journey through the Aesthetics of Free Becoming, understanding the artwork not as a closed, finished object but as a generative field that continues to emerge through relationships.Lai has received the Wu San-Lien Art Award, First Prize in Modern Sculpture at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and major public art awards from Taiwan's Ministry of Culture. A founding chair of the Taiwan Women's Art Association, she established the Jun T. Lai Art and Culture Foundation in Taitung in 2024 to advance artistic creation, local engagement, women's art, and international exchange.
